I am guessing that this model was an export model to be sold in Germany to the many US servicemen that were based there and then exported to the USA when the servicemen returned home. This model had 110 volt electrics and city water connection as would be required in USA.

Added downloads of two June 1987 VW T25 / T3 Westfalia Magazine Adverts to the VW T25 / T3 / Vanagon Westfalia Continental Model History Page. These adverts show that a dealer called Sterling Trailers based in Devon became the official agents for Westfalia in the UK in 1987. From the adverts it would seem that they could supply full vans as well as kits of furniture to put in your own VW T25. This could explain some of Right Hand Drive VW T25 Westfalia Camper vans that have been seen in the UK.

The Devon Gold Moonraker was  a limited edition of 50 campers to recognise  the production of the 5000th Devon Moonraker model.

Available in either hightop or elevating roof versions the Devon Gold Moonraker had fitted as standard over £500 worth of extras over the standard Moonraker at no extra cost. Including a customised cab package, split charge system, louvre window, rear lap belt, Devon Gold insignia and special upholstery, curtains and furniture colours.

This price list includes the price for the slightly higher powered 2.1 Litre (2109cc) DJ Injection Petrol 82 Kw 112PS model that was only available for the 1989 model year of the Westfalia California. For 1990 model year this was replaced by either 2.1 Litre (2109cc) SS Injection Petrol 68 Kw 92PS 5 Speed Gearbox or 2.1 Litre (2109cc) MV  Injection Petrol 70 Kw 95PS Automatic Gearbox.
