Site Update – VW T25 / T3 Devon Camper Info Site

Added a new model history page about the VW T25 / T3 Eurec Cassandra at  VW T25 / T3 Eurec Cassandra Camper

Built by a Dutch company called Eurec using parts supplied by Devon the Eurec Cassandra was basically a left hand drive Devon Moonraker. The Eurec Cassandra was sold to customers in Europe including Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria. Initially it was only available with a Devon side elevating “Double Top” pop top roof. On later models it was also possible to specify a high top fixed roof option. The new webpage contains information about this model and downloads of sales brochures for the VW T25 / T3 Eurec Cassandra.

Added a download of a 1986 – 1987 Autosleeper Magazine to the VW T25 / T3 Autosleeper Downloads Page. Featuring information, adverts and photos of the VW T25 Autosleeper VX50 (forerunner to the Trooper), Autosleeper VHT (forerunner to the Trident) and the Autosleeper VT20 models – as well as Bedford Clubman, Bedford Midi, Ford Transit Frisky, Ford Transit Legend, Ford Transit Flair, Renault RV50, Renault RHT, Renault Rapport, Renault RCX, Talbot  Express CXL Hightop, Talbot Express SL and Talbot Express Talisman.

Added a download of a circa 1996 VW T4 Autosleeper Talent Sales Brochure to the  VW T4 Transporter Autosleeper Downloads Page and the VW T4 Autosleeper Talent Model History Page.

The Auto-Sleepers Talent Camper included a rear living area, kitchen area and a bathroom with cassette toilet and washbasin – all fitted into a standard SWB (short wheel base) VW T4 Transporter 😉

Added a download of a circa 1993 VW T4 Autosleeper Clubman GL Sales Brochure to the  VW T4 Transporter Autosleeper Downloads Page and the VW T4 Autosleeper Clubman GL Model History Page.

Auto-Sleepers used the short wheel base T4 Chassis Cab Transporter as the base vehicle for a coachbuilt model using an advanced one piece fibreglass monocoque body called the Autosleeper Clubman GL (Grande Luxe) motorhome.

Added a download of an Oct 1990 VW T4 Westfalia California and Caravelle Dealer Information Handbook Including Pricelist to the 1990 VW T4 Transporter Westfalia Camper Model History Page. This is in the German language (Deutsch) and includes information and prices to enable the dealer to answer all questions that a customer may have. It includes all information for the Caravelle and California models including what was included as standard, what options where available, and what extras could be specified and at what price 😉

Added a download of a June 1981 VW T25 Richard Holdsworth Price List And Order Form to the VW T25 / T3 Holdsworth Downloads Page . This price list contains all the information and prices it would have cost to have Richard Holdsworth Conversions Ltd convert a customers own van into a Holdsworth Villa Camper.  Three configurations were available called the Hi-Flyer, Family Five or Super Two depending on the customers requirements. There were also a range of options and extras available 😉

Site Update – VW T4 Transporter Autohomes Camper Info Site

Added a new model history page for the VW T4 Transporter Autohomes Karisma at VW T4 Autohomes Karisma Model History.

Not to confused with the earlier VW T25 Autohomes Karisma the VW T4 Autohomes Karisma was a totally new design built on VW’s Long Wheel Base (LWB) chassis. Only produced between 1996 and 1997 the VW T4 Autohomes Karisma is quite a rare model. Similar in layout and equipment specification to the more common Autosleeper Topaz the Autohomes Karisma cost over £700 more than its Autosleeper rival in Dec 1996.  The extra length enabled the fitting of a bathroom including washbasin, cassette toilet and shower at the rear of the vehicle making it extremely practical. Site Update – VW T4 Transporter Autohomes Camper Info Site

Added a download of a Nov 1991 VW T4 Transporter Autohomes Koncord and Autohomes Kompact Sales Brochure to the VW T4 Autohomes Downloads Page and the VW T4 Autohomes Koncord Model History page and the VW T4 Autohomes Kompact Model History page.

These were the first campers Autohomes built on the newly released VW T4 platform. The layout of both was the same but they had different roofs. The Koncord was a 4 berth with a bed in the hightop roof and the Kompact was a 2 berth with a lower profile hightop roof with storage inside. The Koncord roof had a roof rack on top and the Kompact had a rear roof locker with fibreglass lid both accessed via a rear tailgate ladder.

One nice design feature was that the rear seat and cupboards could easily be removed giving extra load area making it a versatile vehicle when not being used for camping.

Added a download of a July 1985 VW T25 / T3 Devon Gold Special Limited Edition Moonraker Sales Pamphlet to the VW T25 / T3 Devon Camper Downloads Page and the VW T25 / T3 Camper Devon Moonraker Model History Page

The Devon Gold Moonraker was  a limited edition of 50 campers to recognise  the production of the 5000th Devon Moonraker model.

Available in either hightop or elevating roof versions the Devon Gold Moonraker had fitted as standard over £500 worth of extras over the standard Moonraker at no extra cost. Including a customised cab package, split charge system, louvre window, rear lap belt, Devon Gold insignia and special upholstery, curtains and furniture colours.
